Meet Becky. I wish this was a better story, but we try to see the positive in all situations. So, the positive I took from this was the incredible photo opportunity this little girl gave me and I got to hang out with this sweet girl for a few hours.
Unfortunately, Becky flew into our window the day before. I held her in my shirt for about 15 minutes until she signaled she wanted out. I opened my shirt and she flew off into our oak tree. I was happy I got to help her recover.
The next morning, Becky returned to our patio looking stunned (unless it was a different female house finch, but seems way to coincidental). I gently grabbed her and put her inside a cardboard box snuggled in a cloth. When I opened it two hours later, she was out of the cloth, looking like she was ready to conquer the world. I left the box open and walked away for a few minutes to let her fly away. When I came back, she was gone!
A few minutes later, there she is hopping around the patio. Oh Be...
